Columbia Icefields

I had seen glaciers in Argentina, so for me, the icefields themselves were not so special.  Nina however thought that it was the highlight of the trip.

My highlight was that I got to drink glacial water.  Lucky for me, I brought a wide-mouth insulated water bottle so I could easily grab some water from a flowing stream.  It tasted like winter coldness.  It had a bit of lightness to it, and it was really cold.

The vehicles to transport the people on and off the icefield were pretty neat as well.  The tires were huge, and I think the driver said it could go up and down a 45 degree incline.

There was a patch of tiny trees that they called the ancient forest.  I think they said that the trees were over 300 years old.
