Maligne Lake Boat Tour

Maligne Lake was probably my favorite place of the trip.  We had reserved the boat tour for a specific time, so we wanted to make sure we got there on time.  I'm usually not one for boat tours because you can't leave when you want to, but this one was worth the very high price of admission.  The highlight of the tour is Spirit Island at the other side of the lake.  If I had the time I would have liked to have canoed to Spirit Island.

It was very interesting to see the same scenery change with the different perspectives as the boat passes by.  I had an additional treat when we left the area around Spirit Island.  An eagle flew down from the sky and plucked a fish out of the water.  I didn't even know what it was doing.  I thought it was going to come down to land on the water, but then it was sort of splashing around.  The next thing I knew it was carrying off a fish!
