The Path of the Glacier

The next morning we went searching for the Path of the Glacier hike.  The road was long and winding, and more than a couple of times we thought we had lost our way.

The hike was short but sweet.  I remember that the lady at the starting point warned us about the unpredictability of the glaciers and the possibility of the whole thing coming down and causing a flood.  Not many believed her as there were tourists scattered around the glacier lake and even climbing up the side of Mount Edith Cavell where the glacier was.

The trail started as a rock pile with miniture evergreens sprouting here and there.  As a treat, every once and a while some wild flowers would be decorating the ground. Down by the lake it was pretty cool.  Akemi made some Inukshuks and threw some rocks into the water.

Apparently this trail is one of the most popular ones, but it wasn't too crowded when we arrived.  I think everyone started to pour in once we left.
